We know what it’s like to want to travel and find things inaccessible in some way that makes the vacation difficult. Either there is too much hauling of the “things” you need, or there is too much lifting, or you just plain can’t get around. We have often come home and headed straight for the chiropractor.

In the last year we’ve been blessed with a home that was built with accessibility in mind. Not needing all the space, we decided we’d like to offer a 2-bedroom suite in our home as an accessible B&B.

We’ve provided:

  • built-in disabled accessibility
  • all 36″ doors with keyed entrances
  • own ground-level entrance with keyed lock
  • a roll-in shower with optional shower chair or bath chair
  • grab bars, a transfer bench or bath lift for those preferring a tub
  • toilet lift seat & grab bars
  • roll-under counters in bath & kitchenette
  • Waverley Glen lift system or Hoyer lifts for bed transfer
  • Lazy-boy that lifts you to standing position or reclines for a nap
  • other equipment that you may need, ready at your request.

We also have the more typical offerings:

  • a special breakfast, coffee & tea available ensuite
  • TV, VCR, DVD, CD and a selection of old movies and books to read
  • a display of events for the area
  • a view of the lake from your bedroom
  • a waterfall & gazebo for your use
  • equipped kitchenette
  • a queen bed; a double bed – new  comfortable, quality mattresses
